Hej!
It is so crazy how a week can blur by a little but it has been one good week! It was the final week of transfers so this morning we were in to say goodbye at the Hovedbaegård to everyone moving to Jydland or going home. I like predicted am staying in Lyngby for another transfer, its actually pretty crazy because when my group of Sisters goes home, half the mission of Sisters is gone and they get a new group of Sisters that is will have 1 more Sister than we has Sisters to train, if that makes sense, so my companion who has been in this area for over 5 transfers decided to extend her mission so she could finish training 2 new missionaries once I leave. So she will be in this area for at least 8 transfers. Pretty crazy, but she is excited! :)
We have had a super snowy week but it just makes Denmark even prettier. We started out the week by teaching Sunil! He is wonderful. We have started reading a chapter with him everytime we meet and he loves it. We read 1 Nephi 4 with him yesterday and he loved that God would tell Nephi to kill Laban because it got rid of a evil soul. He's a funny guy. He just loves the story and always asks if we can read more. He has a little trouble understanding it alone not, his first language and all, so that makes it hard for him to read alone. But its great!
Tuesday we had an awesome district meeting all about how to break down goals to make them more effective. So that was way good, It was our last one as a district so we then had lunch and all that good stuff! It was way great because we realized some of what we can do to better ward relations so that is awesome! :) Then we did family history with Isabella, she is great and has sent out family history referrals all over the mission. I think I have had 25-30 referrals from her in the past week and a half. She loves it! And of course the weekly Tuesday night scripture reading with Sesh, Hos, Malene, Jill and Jennifer. They are the cutest family ever. I love them so much, and it is always so fun to hear their thoughts about what is going on in Mormons bog. especially Jill because she isn't a member, but she always has the greatest insights on everything!
Wednesday I got to go on splits with Sister Floyd! Man she is the greatest and it was a blast. We went to birkerød and went to her coordination meeting it was snowing so we found this huge slide full of snow right outside the guys house and enjoyed that. The snow here is a blast. Sister Floyd is going home tomorrow, so our task while together was to get her all ready to go. That was her one day free the whole week, so we picked up everything she might need and went through her stuff; all the musts of going home. It was way fun just to talk with her and help her. She is wonderful, we talked at a point about change and how if we have learned one thing on the mission it is that people can change. None of us are stuck where we are, that our purpose here is to develop and change. It was just great being with her.
Thursday was what president calls our "myplan" meeting but the mission all knows it as the trunky meeting. It is the departure meeting where we all met and got a training about life. We talked mostly about how to make good goals, and how to have them focused on Christ like attributes. It was wonderful and of course we got to go to the temple so that was prime. It had been a long time so we were all super excited!
Friday, we met again with Isabella and Sunil both went super good! We were able to find people in Isabellas line that went very far back and she was super excited. It is fun becasue family history is the one thing that keeps her to the church. Other than that she is struggling, but as we do family history with her, her and I have been able to talk all about the gospel and address some more of her concerns. Which is as always helpful!
Saturday was wonderful, Ester in our ward had some names for the temple so us and the Elders got to go with her and do work for them. It was such a special experience. We also got to do a session which was great. Just a year back, Ester would never have imagined herself in the temple and she was so happy that she can now. She is pretty wonderful. I have had a pretty bad cough and cold throughout this week and during the session I was sitting next to Ester and she can tell I am trying so hard not to cough and all the sudden she hands me this cough drop. It was the best thing ever. Afterwards she told me she didn't know if she had put one in her pocket before the session but she said she believed that even if she hadn't God would have made one appear. She is great. She was having a way bad migrane afterwards and was supposed to make us missionaries dinner. She looked terrible and we asked what we could do to help, and she said nothing really unless ya'll want to make the food. and so I was like yes we can do that. Service really opens hearts. So we had her show us the recipe and we made the food with her input on what real Danes do. Lets just say it was successful. By the time I was done making the panekager her headache had gone away a little and she was just appreciative. I love her so much. She is just way caring and will do anything for you. I feel like some people overlook her because she seems way strong, but everyone needs someone to talk to and know that someone is there for them. Even the strongest people on the planet need their own back up.
Sunday was church! We met with Sunil and he was so excited to read the next chapter! He has really been getting into it:) yay! By the time that appointment was over there was about an inch and a half of snow on the ground and it was a winter wonderland! We made our way over to familie Bangs house for dinner and they are wonderful. Just this cute older couple. They make me super happy!
Its been a way good week and this next week looks way awesome too! I hope you all are having an awesome January! I love you all so much!
