Hej venner!
So this week has been a good one full of snow and a little sickness, but as usual we came out on top! I have realized I have a love for snow, expecially when inside admiring it from afar, but biking in it is a little more tricky, but after a while you just get used to it. :)
Anyway on Monday we had a great p-day up in Copenhagen with the district, there is a big gågade called Strøget that has basically everythign you could ever imagine so we had a great time walking and shopping in the snow. They still have all the Christmas lights up so it is beautiful. Then we went to Familie Andersens house, they are wonderful and had dinner. Way fun, then we biked to Waleeda, she is great and progressing alot. She Loves the plan of salvation and loves the idea that we can live with God again!
Tuesday, we met with Minna, Presidents neighbor, and taught her about family history. She is this cute older lady. She gave us all kinds of Danish foods and we were just able to talk and set up a Family Search account for her. She is adorable and very good friends with Sister O'bryant so that is exciting! Then on our way to our next appointment Sister Mann started feeling really sick. Luckily that appointment fell through so we could go home and she could rest. Don't worry she felt better the next day!
Wednesday, we met with Isabella and helped her with family history, and she gave us some referrals for around the mission. She has the sweetest heart but has had a hard life. It went very well and everytime we meet she seems to open up a little more. Then we met with Sami, who has been reading the Book of Mormon everyday :) and then Waleeda again. We started teaching the restoration to her and she loves the idea of a prophet. Says it makes total sense.
Thursday, we had zone conference, where we watched a broadcast from the 12 apostles about missionary work, it was good and very straightforward about how we can all become better missionaries. Gotta love it. We then met with Sunil and read in the Book of Mormon with him and he loved it. Thought the tree of life was a way fun way to describe the gospel.
Friday we met with Minna again and she had found all her old books with her history on them so we were able to help her add some names into her account. She thought it was way fun to see her fan chart get bigger and bigger. There is definitely something special about family history!
Saturday we played basketball at the church in the morning, there are always these Chinese guys that come and play and they are way skilled and talented. Then after lunch was when the Thai food from Friday gave me a bit of food poisening, so that pretty much messed up the day. Gotta hate when you eat bad food.
Sunday we had church and Torben a man we met and gave a tour of church came and he loved it. Said he felt like there was truth in he church so that was exciting. Church went way well! Then after church we had dinner at Ester, she has been gone a while for work but is home until Tuesday morning so she invited us over to eat. We had a very good talk about life while doing the dishes and it just made me realize that even people who seem like they have their whole lives together maybe struggling with more than they let on. She is amazing! Everyone needs love and time. That is one thing I've learned on my mission, is that there is alot more to people than what we see at first glance, and when we take an extra second and show them we love them, they open up in a way that the spirit can then help you to know waht to say and do for them. It is my favorite thing!
I hope you all had a wonderful week! I love you so much! Thanks for everything! Keep being incredible :)
