HELLOOO EVERYONE!
This week has been amazing! Even with some tough times this week, I am continuing to see God's hand in our lives here! So our bikes are all fixed up and we are back to biking around Slagelse which is so nice! Gives us more time to visit people!
We had met this couple on the street who accepted the book of mormon, gave us there address and had us set up a return appointment. All was good, we went to meet with them and brought Stefan a member in our ward (he is wonderful, always willing to help us whenever we need) We get there and they are both eager to learn and have read parts of the book of mormon, he prayed for the first time ever. It was all going so good. We leave and call them later that week like they had asked to set up the next appoointment and they tell us they are no longer interested and dont think its for them. Sad day! They were great! But thats alright we continued on!
Søster Barrett went down to Roskilde for splits so Søster Reed came to Slagelse and we worked! It went so well and I was actually able to find my way around the town! We met with a bunch of different people and it was so much fun! It gives extra confidence that I can do it! We went to a relief society activity and they talked all about food storage and how important it is! Dont forget to always be prepared!! I got to be on splits with Sis Ripplinger here in Slagelse, it was so fun! She extended her mission one transfer so she is going home in like 2 weeks, but she is so in tune with the spirit and really made me think differently about some things and about how much I have changed already on my mission. All I've got to say is we have some pretty awesome sisters serving here!
Also our investigator Mark, has officially given up coffee! We were talking to him on Thursday and he gets up in the middle and goes to his cupboard and grabs the bag of coffee and hands it to me and goes <I wont be needing this anymore, do whatever you want with it> It was so exciting! He is amazing! We started doing family history work with him too! It was so good! He came to church and is really progressing along!
On Friday we traveled to Odense so Sister Barrett could go to a baptism, so I was on splits with Sis Noorda for a day while she went to Aalborg! It was exciting to be on a different island, and lots of fun visiting people. Though I do miss my area when we leave, there just something about Slagelse that is so amazing!
Yesterday sad story, we usually go sing at a old folks home to this sister named Gerd, she had been in the hospital but we thought to check back. And we go in and ask if she is there so we can sing to her and they tell us she has died.. It was really sad and I didn't even know her that well but we had thought multiple times during the week to go visit her and just never had time, so it was just really a shock. So word of advice, never delay a prompting. You'll just feel really bad about it later on. So always quickly follow the spirit or it may be too late!
Then the story about the milk. So we just went grocery shopping and had to bike back from the store, all was going well until like 100 yards from our house, and the milk falls out of the bag. I kinda ran it over with my bike and we were both dying of laughter. But the milk survived! and didnt even spill! hahah yay!!
Well I love you all so much! Hope yalls week is amazing!!!
