Hej!
Well the week just seems to blow by, like happy November! Anyway Denmark is wonderful, getting darker but that also means that Christmas lights are now starting to be put up! The first were turned on on the Gågade last friday! Christmas is coming to Denmark! and I love it!
This week has kinda been all over the place with things but it all worked out! Alvis, one of our friends here is really positive, he has already started reading the Book of Mormon and was able to tell us all about Joseph Smith. Gotta love Alvis! Then Pedro has invited his friend Maria over to Family Home Evening and to church and she said she would come next Sunday! He is already doing his missionary work. He is just the greatest!
Thens there's Kathleen, who I just love, she is adorable and just way cute! She is an older Scottish lady who married a Dane, Ole, and he was on a business trip part of this week and so when we went to visit her. She was so excited, we helped clean her closet and wash her stairs. She has parkinsens so some things are really hard for her to do. So while we cleaned we were able to talk with her, it was great. We told her if she needed anything while Ole was gone to just call us and we will come and help. The next day we get a call and she says she is just so thankful for everything we did, and that we came, she said she was gonna mop her floor and clean other stuff that day, and we asked if we could come help. She gets tired out really easily but loves doing things on her own. Of course she said we could come. So we came and cleaned and to thank us she made us dinner and invited over her neighbor and his son so we could all eat. Kathleen isn't one to pray or anything in front of people but, before eating she said we could bless it! That is huge progress and she said that she read for 30 minutes in the Book of Mormon after we left! It is wonderful! Her husband was never so fond of missionaries before, but that has changed and he invited us over to have a little æbleskever fest with them on Friday. So that is wonderful. She is just the cutest lady she told us she has never had this connection with any other missionaries before, Service and taking time with people really does open hearts! She is definitely one person that I just love, and brings so much light to our lives, we joked around and said that she helps us way more than we help her. And it is true, the people we visit help us and make us so much happier. They bring a light that helps us so much.
We have also gone hard core packing for this family who have to move because of mold. It got really bad and they have to be out of their house as soon as possible, so we are movers. It is so fun, Familien Kristensen, is this older couple so they need help to do a lot but I love it. We get to look at all her knick nacks and just get to hear her stories as we pack up. I just love doing service.
Then the Klitgaard family call us and ask us if we are busy and we had just finished packing up so we go as fast as possible to there house, because Preben, calls us whenever Henny, who is his wife and is very sick, whenever she has a good day so we booked it over just to show her some love. This ward is wonderful and I am so glad I can serve in this area. The people here are just so wonderful! I love it even with all the hills!
Hope you all had a great halloween, people here have started trick or treating but it isn't so big as in the states. Have a great week! love you!
