HIIII family!
Wow I can't believe it has been a whole nother week! This week has been super crazy but really good! It is getting easier to understand the language and teach in danish so each day gets better and better!
We have been hard at work here, we found 10 new potential investigators in 10 days. It was our goal, but it really helped to keep us motivated. We talked to many people on the street and have spent alot of our free time knocking on doors and it truly is affective. We even gave out 3 books of Mormons this week to people on the street and planned appointments to meet with them this coming week.
Sister Barrett is incredible and I am learning so much from her. One of the biggest things I have learned is that obedience is key. Being obedient brings more blessings than you could ever imagine! It is amazing how just by choosing the right the lord can help you and bless you in so many ways. I have seen it so much this week and can truly say it is why we were able to meet so many people interested in the church.
Also this week I have learned how to repair a bike. Multiple times. My bike got a bad flat on Tuesday so we repaired it, then riding to our first appointment Sister Barretts bike got a flat, so we repaired it that Wednesday. Then we start to ride and guess what... both our bikes have flats again. So we brought them into the shop today and hopefully they will fix them all up for us!
So, because my companion is so awesome, she is also the sister training leader for our zone, so we got to go on splits from Thursday to Saturday. So while Sis Barrett was doing her leader thing, I was companions with Sister Reed (the other reed, not my mtc comp) in Ballorup for a while. It was a little rough at first finding our way and the whole very new to danish thing with no trainers but it was amazing how much we were helped out. The first night we even talked to this women on the street and planned to meet with her again! it was great. And later that evening we were kinda lost but it was kinda in the middle of the less nice area in town and we had no idea like where to go, there were a bunch of police around and lots of people shouting so we were like we gotta get outta here. So we said a quick prayer for help, and then we were able to find a bus that would bring us all the way close to home and got us out of the bad part of town. it was awesome!
This Tuesday through Thursday we are on splits here in Slagelse so I'm trying to remember how to get everywhere! Luckily we all have maps!
OH and the story with the subject line, our phone likes to restart randomly so it did last night and we forgot to reset the time, so the alarm goes off, we get out of bed say prayers, do laundry, clean up and I even go and take a shower. And when I come out sis barrett comes over to me and says I think it is only 330... so we were very confused for a while and didnt understand how that was possible. but it all made sense, we were both super tired and the sun hadnt started to come up. So we had a good laugh about that and decided to go back to bed. Phones these days always messing with us! hahaha
Anyway, It has been amazing, lots and lots of rain, but without rain there would be no rainbows so getting wet isnt so bad! I am so lucky to be here and to be able to serve, I love it!! I hope all is well with all of you! I love you all so much!
THANK YOU ALL FOR EVERYTHING! love you and miss you!
