Hey All!!
How is everyone? I cannot believe I am actually here and have been for about a week! How crazy is that? Well the plane rides were lots of fun.. but mainly just really long. sleep on the plane was rare so that made things a bit difficult, but it was really fun because we just got to talk and mess around for a while. the best part was being able to call and talk to you.
Well as you heard from the mission president or someone, our bags didn't quite make it all the first day, so that is why I was wearing the same things in all the pics the first few days and on the plane. But all is good now, clothes are all hung up in the closet! I am in Slagelse in a library right now emailing. It is the cutest little town and the people here are amazing! The first day we went contacting in the rain which was really fun, a good way to start it off, but since then it hasn't rained much until today; but I do love it! My companion is Søs. Barrett, and she is seriously amazing! It has been so much fun so far, she makes everything really fun and is always willing to help me. It has been awesome. We have already had a bunch of lessons and dinner appointments which is all really fun. The ward is all really kind and love giving us food and coming teaching with us.
The elders in our district had a baptism Saturday so we went and guess what.. we had to sing Come unto Christ, and man for only singing it 3 times it wasnt so bad, I was nervous for the solos but it went well! Then yesterday in church the bishop asked me to come up introduce myself and bear my testimony all in danish and you know it really wasnt so bad! Hahaha each day it gets easier. The crazy thing is, is that we actually teach a lot of people in english. Many people we have met don't actually speak danish.
We went knocking on Saturday night, my first time out knocking and we met a bunch of people; one was this muslim lady who invited us in and we talked for a really long time about the differences in our faith. It was actually really interesting! And we gave out a Book of Mormon yesterday to this really sweet hindu family! It is all really fun! Though biking everywhere is alot harder than I thought it would be. Turns out Denmark has a lot of hills to go up and down on! But biking is always refreshing!
WOW I dont really know what else to tell you! It is amazing here! I love it so much! I am learning so much each day and I can definitley feel the Lord helping me all the time! It is truly a blessing to be here. The people are amazing and usually willing to at least talk to us for a few minutes. It is beautiful here! AHH I love it all so much!
I love you so much and miss you all! I hope all is going well with each one of you!
love,
