HEY!
Wow this week has just flown by and been super awesome, don't even know where to start! Aalborg is just so beautiful and the more we bike around the more I love it!
Well, we started this past week off by having family home evening with the cutest greenlandic family, they got baptized about a year ago, but have been struggling to come to church because the husband has been working in Esbjerg about a 2 hour train ride south and she has been going in and out of the hospital for many different reasons, but we were able to share a message and play some games with them. It was wonderful, and the whole family came to church yesterday, we were so excited when we saw them! We have another family home evening tonight so that will be super exciting!
We also were able to go up to Skagen this week! It was beautiful, it is far north past Frederickshund and it is where the 2 oceans meet! It was a beautiful area, smelled like fish but in a really good way! We went up with our district and were able to walk around in the water and hang out on the beach for a bit! We also got to go look around the Gågade up there and it was so adorable, cutest things and cutest people! It was really fun! Then that night we came back and had CUV where all the young adults came and we had a thought then played pictionary, it was super fun to finally meet the UVers and just a blast. This ward is incredible!
On Friday we had an appointment with Grethe but times got mixed up so we decided to make a last minute appointment with Pedro our investigator. He was in a lot of pain becuase of his diabetes but we were able to help him and get him things so he didn't have to walk, he was very thankful and then we had a great lesson all about prophets and Joseph smith. He knows he should be baptized but has the hardest time stopping smoking. He has tried every trick imaginable, so it is hard for him to have hope that he can overcome it, but we promised him that if he set a baptismal date and showed God he has faith the Lord would provide a miracle. So he said yes and has a baptismal date for oct 17. He is excited and as we were praying he says out loud in the middle and pray that Pedro can stop smoking. He has such strong faith says he and God have always been friends and that he knows God will help him. He also has such strong faith in the Book of Mormon, says it just makes sense ever since he started reading! He is wonderful!
On Saturday we got to work and serve setting up for a wedding reception, it was wonderful, went up with some members and helped set everything up and set out food and basically did anything and everything they needed. It was wonderful, gave us time to meet and get to know members while doing service and it was fun to see the Danish wedding traditions. But it was really neat to get to know the main women who were helping, just fun to see what they do for work and family! The ward here is really incredible!
All in all it has been a wonderful week, wonderful weather and people and places. I am way excited for this week! I hope you all have a great week! Love you!
