HEY! How is everyone doing? I love you all so much! First off a HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MOM!! I am sad to miss your birthday but you'll just have to celebrate without me and just pretend I am there! I love you!
This week has been really good! We started off really strong with zone training! And I'm just gonna have to say it, my zone is the greatest! We had great lessons and meetings that helped to pump us all up which were awesome. It is really fun because Søs Barrett is the sister training leader and then Elder Childs and Madsen (in my district) are the zone leaders so it was kinda like a big district meeting again, and we got to hear from the president, which was great. He is amazing and knows exactly what we all need to hear and how to help us so much! Mainly we all just need to talk with everyone, the lord will help us if we open our mouths with faith. We should never be afraid of what might happen but instead have faith that we can do anything with the Lords help.
After all the meetings we had our big zone (well 2 zone) all of sjaelland Thanksgiving feast! It was delicious. Still love your food more mom! But it was super good and really fun to eat with everyone and the echtepars. Then we had a talent show. It was probably one of the funniest things EVER! Lots of dances by elders and little skits. We have a pretty great group here. Then we played football against each other. There were alot of people but it was great and the sisters were the secret weapons because no elders would ever guard us so we always could get to the ball and run it! haha but it was a blast. The fields were real wet and slick so we all kinda left with sore muscles and bruises but it was so worth it.
We had a lesson with an investigator this week which went really well and he continues to progress. He's a bit sensitve about baptism, but get this after church last week he was talking with æ Childs about the lesson and about the end coming soon. He said dont worry about me, I'll be baptized soon I just gotta make sure I'm ready! So he is totally coming along and he is awesome. Last night he called us all excited because his son ( who he hasn't talked to since July, and weve been praying would call) called him! They talked for a good long while and it turns out that his son's girlfriend is pregnant with twins so mark is going to be a grandpa. He was so happy and said that he knew it was God looking out for him and that God does answer all of our prayers. It was just another testimony that God is helping us even if it takes a few months!
We also had stake conference this weekend so we traveled down to Roskilde Saturday night and watched it. There wasn't enough room in the main hall so all us missionaries got put into the nursery to listen so that was a bit of a struggle but very funny. We stayed down in Roskilde that night then traveled up to Copenhagen the next morning for the Sunday conference. It was really great. The guy who plays Jesus in the testaments talked all about how we could come unto Christ and how He is always there for us. Pres. Sederholm beared his testimony. It was wonderful. On the way home we accidently got on the wrong train so that took us a bit out of the way but we made it home eventually.
We met with a less active last night before we had to head home and she has recently started coming back to church but was struggling with having positive thoughts and staying happy. So we talked with her a bunch about how we can stay positive and how through Christ we can have hope and happiness. It was a really good discussion. She asked us about angels and if we think they are here on earth. We said yes that we think they are and she asked us if people could be angels, and we didn't quite know how to respond and then she says, becasue I think you two are angels. It really hit because we went to her house hoping to use her bathroom and share a little thoguth with her but it meant a lot to her and she said it was exaclty what she needed. You just never know who's prayer you are answering each time you talk or visit with people. Even if you don't realize it, you could be changing their life or helping them in a way they need so much! It is incredible. Always remember that.
Well I love you all so much! In terms of transfers, Søs Barrett and I are staying together here in slagelse. She actually got the call that she is extending her mission a transfer so that is wonderful! We have a few elders moving in and out of our district so thatll be fun. Our one elder is now the new assistant so yay!
Anyway, I hope you have a great week! always rememeber how much I love each of you!!
