WOW I can't believe it has already been a whole week! The time here is so crazy because it goes by so slowly but so fast at the same time! I love it here! It has been hard the first few days but each day gets easier and easier. day 1: first off our teacher is amazing!! He only speaks danish to us but it really helps! My district is awesome, 7 sisters and 2 elders! our zone has dutch, swedish and norwiegn here. The sweds and nords both left this past week and we will get 37 new missionaries today!
day 2) I learned to pray in Danish! It's still kind of rocky but each day it gets easier and easier to make sentances that fit and make sense. I serially don't know how I've learned so much in this past week. The lord is blessing me so great each day with courage and help with speaking. i know it is not jsut me on my own. then we met our branh presidency they are so fun and nice!
day 3) Man you would't believe how bad your back and butt hurts from sitting in these chairs all the time! We taught our first investigator and we are practice teaching with her. I was so surprised that I was not only able to understand what she was saying but also able to talk back with her! It was an amazing feeling. Kind of scary but still felt good.
day 4) We taught our investigator again, and I was able to speak more and more to her. we learned how to bear our testimonies and how to talk more and use some more grammar. it is so cool!
day 5) Was Sunday! it was so good! The spirit is so strong here especially in meetings and everything. We got to walk to the temple and it was so beautiful and fun. It made the day so much better. In choir our teacher talked about the atonement and how it wasn't just a ball of sin on the savior but that he actually took on each of our sin individually. So he knows exacltly how we feel each day of our lives, and how different temptations affect different people. He said it alot better than i just did, but it made me realize that someone does understand exaclty what we are going through each day of our lives.
day 6) Happy labor day! we taught our investigator again and each time the spirit is always present helping us to know waht to say and do! I love it! We had to say goodbye to some sisters and elders in our zone, they are making the trip to their actual destinations! It was sad but exciting!
Day 7) I taught our investigator on the spot, we didn't realize she was coming and showed up. It made me realize how preparation is key in everything! Then our second teacher didn't show up so we were able to just study and watch mormon messages. They are all so good! If you have time watch some! The devotional was amazing! He talked all about what as missionaries we need to do. and about how our job isn't to just get baptisms but to also keep people in the church. It made me want to be so much better!
Well, thats my week! I love you all so much and hope your week is amazing, I miss you but know I am where I am supposed to be! Keep sending dear elders I love to get them! they make each day so much better!
I'm praying for you all always and know the lord is blessing us!
love always,
Sister Hadfield
