HEY!
This week has been incredible! It as usual went by super fast but it is so much fun, Aalborg is a beautiful place, really just magical, it is really different than other areas I have served in I think because it is higher north and right next to the fjord so we have a beautiful harbor and rolling hills and just amazing sights all over!
It is always a bit weird being in a new area, but it has great, the ward here is rather big and all really fun and welcoming, the people we are working with are all pretty positive and now that summer break is almost over people are finally gonna be home! Being with Sister Lyman is just a blast.
I have already learned so much from her and we have really made it our goal to notice the hand of the Lord more in our lives. Because He is always doing so much for us all we have to do is open our eyes to see the miracles. We have really been focusing on seeing the good things and noticing the little miracles this week. It has been wonderful! Meeting new people is always fun, and the members here are just wonderful. I am super excited to keep working with them.
One miracle we experienced was Saturday night actually, we had an appointment at 19.00 and decided to do some stop-bys of women that lived around her that we had never met before. So we go to this one house, the home of a Birthe, and knock. A younger man comes out and is not super happy that we are there and tells us to leave, as we are about to leave, we gave him a card and said that if they ever need help with any service we would love to come. Then all of the sudden it turned from him about to shut the door on us to him opening it up and apologizing for being rude. I guess he misunderstood and thought we were Jehovahs Witnesses. He apologized and even let us in to meet his grandma, a member of the church. She was just so cute, loved and remembers her times coming to church she just isn't capable now to come, but she told us she loved church and still remembers it and to tell everyone hi from her. Way adorable. But on the way out her grandson follows us out apologizes again and we start talking about his beliefs. It was so great he lives in Aarhus and said he would love to come to church sometime there and even said he would come to CUV on Thursday! We were so excited and it really taught me about how being christlike and showing love for everyone really does soften hearts.
There is also this huge boat festival here called the tall ship races, about a 5 minute run from our house, and so boats from all over the world are here and they have concerts and all sorts of fun things happening so it has been really exciting to contact around it and be able to see where people are from and all that fun stuff. We get to go today and be apart of it and just tour around which will be super fun!
Well I sure hope you all have a great week! I love you all! Keep rocking it and being awesome!!
