HAPPY JUNE!
Crazy how it is already June but hey it's almost officially summer! :)
This week has been so good! The highlights! Teaching Mette has been wonderful! She is so prepared for baptism and will be baptized Saturday! She is so excited we have one more lesson to teach her and she is ready! It really has been great to see her grow. She is super excited, she picked out who would baptize her and it was really special, I just love how member present lessons make a huge difference! I am way excited for her!
We also had a surprise visitor in church yesterday, her name is Emily and she is a member but has been inactive for a very long time. We didn't even know she was living here. But she called our bishop and said she needed to talk with someone, so he gave us her number, we tried to call her but she didn't answer so we planned to stop by her later on the next day. But that morning we were welcoming people into church when this girl comes over to me and says her name is Emily and asks if I was the one who left the message on her phone, I was like yes that was me! She looked so sad and just asked if we could go somewhere and talk, I was like of course! So we all went down into a quite room and she just started crying, she said she didn't know why she came to church but that she felt like it was the only thing she could do, she didn't want to be alone and just felt like this was where she should be. It was a miracle that she had taken the step to come. We talked with her and the elders were able to give her a blessing, she didn't feel up to staying in church but said that we could definitely come visit her this week and that she would come and meet the ward soon. It really was a huge experience, all I wanted to do was help her so bad, just for her to see how much she is worth. I am super excited to keep working with her and help her see just how much God really loves her.
We were also able to go to the temple this week for Sister Ackermans 1 month meeting! It was the greatest! I forgot how much I missed going to the temple! We were able to do a session! And President being incredible as he is, said we could stay and hang around Copenhagen until our ward temple trip came a few hours later, so we did some super awesome contacting until the ward came and we were able to do baptisms for the dead with Line (a recently baptized member) her first time! It was awesome! There was only 1 man to do the baptizing this time. It was a really special experience and I just loved it so much!
Mathias was also baptized this past Saturday! He had his exchange family come all the way from America and his Danish family (all not members) came and it was so great to see! Just truly how happy he was! Just the greatest!
The work is moving along! Odense is the greatest! I seriously love it here so much! Have a great week! I love you all so much!
