Happy Chinese New Year and Fastelavn! :)
Fastelavn is kinda like halloween here but the kids dress up and knock on doors asking for candy or money, they also in the olden days used to put cats in barrels and hit them, but that part of the tradition has died out. But it is super fun and it was yesterday.
Monday we met with Waleeda again, where we talked about the word of wisdom and she said she would hold it. She said she might have some trouble with smoking but that if she asks God, He will help her. It was a way powerful lesson because she basically just testified to herself that with God she was strong enough to overcome anything.
Tuesday we were able to visit Minna again and help her with her family history. She is getting more and more interested as she sees that we are finding new information she never knew about before. Gives it a little more excitement, and we visited with Jennifer, Jill, and Malena to read the Book of Mormon and practice our song. We are singing "I love to See the Temple" all together next week at church!
Wednesday, we visited Torben and he is great! He read in the Book of Mormon and said he would read everyday this week! We visited with Eline and were able to see what some of her concerns were so we can help her feel more comfortable. She is incredible and knows so much, and just has great viewpoints on everything. It is so fun to see how her brain works to make the information and doctrine very logically so it just makes sense.
Thursday, we visited with Sofie and talked with her about church. She loved coming and really wants to come again and is planning on coming next week ! :) So that is super exciting! We then went down to Roskilde and were on splits with Sister Reed and Williams! It was way fun.
Friday we were still on splits and went guitar contacting on the Gågade and Sister Williams and I sang while the other 2 contacted. It is one of my favorite things. Music has a special spirit with it. This lady even came over and said it was the blessing and she had prayed to God for. We also found a guy named Kasper for them to start teaching.
Saturday we played basket again and Sunil came and loved it. During one of the water breaks he asked if we could relax by reading in the Book of Mormon and we said of course. He gets super intense when playing, but it is so much fun. We were also able to show him a picture of the temple and talk about that!
Sunday, was church which was wonderful, Eline came and loved it! Then after church we headed to Jennifer, Jill, and Malenas house to make dumplings with their roommate, a chinese guy, for Chinese New Year. He just moved in and is super great! We made chinese food and had a little Fastelavns party. It was a blast. Their family is the greatest!
Such a good week! I hope you all have a wonderful week too! I love you all so much!
