Hi!
Well this week has probably been one of the craziest weeks of my whole mission. We were getting curveballs from every angle. So where even to begin I guess to sum things up, I am now in Lyngby (on Sjælland) got here Saturday. They closed down our area in Aalborg and my companion Sister Rovig got deported.
The trip down to Germany did not help at all I guess. It was just something last minute to try, the final thing that could help. But it did absolutely nothing. So Monday we got a call from President telling us the news, that Sister Rovig had to leave Monday morning and that she could either go home or finish her mission in the States. She decided to finish in the states and is now in Las Vegas. So we got ourselves ready to leave, the Elders took over our area and divided the area book up and all that good stuff. We got to say good bye to everyone. They of course were very shocked and lets just say more than 5 grown men cried because of the news. Then on Friday morning the assistants called and told us that instead of her flying out Tuesday she was flying out Saturday at 1:00. Lets just stay that put us through the grinder because we hadn't packed or cleaned the apartment at all and it meant she was leaving alot sooner than expected. So in the panic we called our STL because they rock and they got on the first train up to Aalborg and saved us by helping us pack and clean and calm down. Then after no sleep at all we traveled down the next morning way early to KBH so she could make her train.
President and Sister O'Bryant picked us up from the train and we went to the airport got her all checked in and she was out. She made it safely to Las Vegas on Sunday. I got to spend a few hours with Pres and his wife, we went to lunch and I helped them find things for the Thanksgiving conference. But it has all really been a blur. I am now in Lyngby with Sister Mann and Sister Reed. Yes me and Sister Reed are going for round 3 being companions. Next week is actually transfers so I am pretty sure I will stay here and one of them willl leave but who knows.
Then to make everything even better, the day I get here we have a huge snow storm, it snowed all day and the next. On Sunday we walked to church in the snow because we couldn't bike and all public transport was down. We still have a lot of snow but it is no longer snowing.
It is just super crazy everything that has happened. Alot of adjusting to change is happening and just trying to figure everything out. It was hard leaving Aalborg especially so fast, we found out that Aalborg would be closing to Sisters for a while because we are losing a good amount of Sisters next week, so we had our goodbye week planned so we could meet with everybody. but it didn't quite work out. But we did make it to some and say goodbye before hand. That ward is amazing and I love them all. But hey that is life, a bunch of unexpected turns. Its a good thing that God is in charge of it all and knows best. He definitely does have a bigger perspective than we do.
I hope you all have a great thanksgiving and a great week! I love you all!
