HEY!
I cannot believe how fast this week has flown by, so many amazing things have happened! Where to even begin! Well this week we had an amazing zone conference in århus! It was combined zones so we had all of Jydland and fyn, so a good amount of missionaries, but it was super special because it is the last one that president sederholm will be at. So it was amazing, we talked all about revelation through the Book of Mormon and how it can truly change lives. Which is extremely true, we have seen that since we begun using the Book of Mormon more and more since in lessons, it has especially helped with Ole. We had a lesson with him the day after zone conference and before he was unsure about his date, but towards the end of the lesson we asked him how he was feeling, he said he wants it really bad, isn't totally sure but wants to do it. Which is a huge change for him. It was one of the most powerful lessons I have ever been a part of!
Anyway back to zone conference, Towards the end, sister sederholm showed a slideshow of all the pictures she has taken throughout her 3 years here, all the arrivals and departures of missionaries, fun things and of course the baptisms that have happened, the spirit was so strong during it because you could see how much everyone in our mission loves it and how much it has changed lives. Then we had the farewell testimonies, which was not just President and his wife but also 10 other elders who are going home. It was a really bittersweet moment, because it was so great to hear their testimonies and see their love for Denmark but also kinda sad becasue they make up a huge part of the mission, they are the leaders. Just a lot is changing but in a good way. President then got up and it was his turn to talk with us and he writed "Den Danske Mission er?" which means the Denmark mission is? Then he proceeded to ask what it meant to all of us, and let me just tell you the love and spirit was so strong just testifying that we are here doing the Lords work, that this is our home and we are here to help all of them around us. It was my favorite most influence zone conference on my mission. There were lots of goodbyes, but I also left with a hightened motivation to learn and truly know the Book of Mormon and share it with others. It was incredible. I just really love that book more than anything! I am so glad I am here in Denmark and able to meet all these wonderful people and missionaries, truly the biggest blessing ever! I love it!
Which then leads into the train ride home. So all us headed back to fyn were on the train and we all thought we were super lucky because we got seats around each other (there was 2 sections of four seats) but then a few minutes in people come up to sister Ackermans seat and Elder Millwards seat and tell them they reserved those ones, so they had to move. So we were like bummer, then we were just talking and joking around when this random guy sitting across the table next to Elder Warner looks at me and asks about our name tags, we proceed to tell him we are missionaries and what our purpose is and ask him if he wants to hear more, and he was really interested. We taught him the first lesson and luckily we had a whole box of books of mormon with us, so we gave him one and told him all about it. As we were explaining it the girl sitting next to me jumps in and asks if she could also get a copy and by this point we were both shocked, like this doesn't happen usually. We began teaching both of them and answered their questions. It was an incredible lesson and we used the Book of Mormon, gave them parts to read in it later and even prayed with them. It was beyond incredible. Elder Warner and I got off the train and were both like "what just happened"? It was amazing! Just proved even more how much the Book of Mormon can effect people!
Also, this week we had Mette's baptism. she was so cute and excited and it really was a special day for her! She looked adorable and just really knew that it was right. We had 16 missionaries there so we all sang nærmer gud til dig and it was so powerful, the spirit at the baptism was amazing. It was undescribable. I feel so lucky to have been a part of teaching her! it was the greatest and still will be so awesome to meet with her!
Anyway, sorry that is so long, but congrats Emily on graduation and Happy Birthday Dad! I love you all! Have a fantastic week! love you all so much!
