Happy New Year Everyone!
I hope you all had a great new year! It is crazy how fast this year has flown by! This week has kinda been a blur but a good blur.
On Monday we had our p-day with Ester and the Elders. Ester is so great, she is just the most loving, funny, blunt person ever and I just love being with her. She took us out to get lagekage and then we went shopping around Copenhagen together before going back to her place for dinner. She works on ships so she is starting back up after her vacation time so sadly she'll be busier soon so we took as much time with her before that happens.
Then on Tuesday we were able to meet with Sunil and he is just wonderful. He has begun reading in The Book Of Mormon and is way interested in family history, though we have never looked at Indian records so well see how that goes next time!
Wednesday we did family history with Isabella, she has a bunch of friends all across Denmark that she wants the missionaries to go visit and help them with their family history, so we got a bunch of referals and all that good stuff and she just loves it. It is the one thing that holds her to the church at all. Pretty incredible.
Thursday was new years, so we went with Ester and the Elders up to Helsingør like a 40ish minute drive north, to where her sister lives. So we were with her sister, her sisters boyfriend, her nephew and her. It was a balst. Here in Denmark any kind of firework is basically legal so we got to watch them set off the super big fireworks and all that. The whole sky is filled all night long. From when the sun goes down to when it comes up the next morning there are fireworks. We sadly had to be back in our apartments by 11 so we had to watch through the windows but it was still a blast.
Friday we had to stay inside it was our cleaning day to keep us away from all them that are drunk the next day. But it means our apartment is spotless and nice. Then in the evening we visited family Kosak. They have 2 way cute girls so that was just way fun. They are an adorable family.
Saturday we had basketball. Where all the missionaries come and this wek we had 4 chinese guys come and play. It got so intense... not really at all but one of the guys Roy even lost his tooth. Luckily it was a fake tooth anyway, but it was a weird sight to look down and just see a tooth on the ground. Then after that we met with Sunil again and we did a little Danish teaching. He said he wants to come to church again. So that was great. Then we went to Waleeda's house with Sister O'bryant. It was such a good lesson. We were talking about the plan of salvation and her daughter comes in from the other room asking where it says we were with God before we were born. She said it felt very familiar to her like it was true. Way special moment!
Sunday we had church which was great Waleeda came and loved it. Then we had dinner at Esters! Great way to end out the week. It has been the coldest week yet, the wind is freezing so we have been hard core bundling up. So that is always fun!
I hope you all have a great week! love you!
